MAKING A DIFFERENCE IN
THE LIFE OF A CHILD…….
 That has been our desire from the beginning of Hope
for the World in Albania. We began in Tirana,
Albania with the Zyber Halluli Orphanage in 1992.
Since 1992 we have added three orphanages in Shkodra,
one in Vlora, one in Saranda, one in Korca, the Tag
Center for teens in Tirana, and a facility for the
elderly known as Threshold of Hope in Saranda.
God
has literally grown up a host of young people who
have come to know Him personally in their lives. We
are not just providing them with a better life, but
also teaching them how to live. God has blessed us
with a wonderful national staff of believers who are
not just “workers”, but are mentors to these
orphans. Roger and Cherie Mullins have been
directing this work in Albania since 1994.
To understand the
success of the ministry in Albania, we are happy to
copy here the exact contents of a recent letter from
one of the Albanian Directors of an orphanage in
Tirana.
“With this letter
on behalf of the orphans and the staff workers of
Zyber Hallulli orphanage, we want to express our
sincere gratitude for the help and the contributions
of the Foundation Hope for the World in the interest
of the education and training for the orphan
children.
Your help and contributions for the past 14 years
for the children has had a great impact on the lives
of the children so that they have had good food to
eat, they can be well dressed and have different
activities. You have also provided for them great
conditions for living, for studying and for
different cultural and sports activities for them to
have an enjoyable life.
We
want to thank you for the love you are showing to
these children. This is a love cultivated by our
God, reflected in your Staff workers.
Through this letter
we want to express our pleasure too, for your
fruitful collaboration we have had with your
foundation and we believe that this collaboration
will continue and will be in existence in the coming
future.

Southeastern Europe. Despite its troubled history of
foreign rule and dictatorship, the country has been
classified as an emerging democracy since the 1990s.
Albania has played a relevant role in managing
